the main quality problems found in the spot check:

first, a few products exceed the standard of free formaldehyde. The source of formaldehyde in the product is mainly the free formaldehyde that remains in the glue during the synthesis of white latex and does not react completely, or formaldehyde is added to the adhesive as an adjuvant, preservative and bonding agent, which causes the free formaldehyde to exceed the standard. In the spot check, a few products exceeded the standard of free formaldehyde, and the content of free formaldehyde in one product was 4.9g/kg, exceeding the requirement of 1.0 g/kg specified in the national mandatory standard

second, some products have low nonvolatile content and poor compression shear strength (wet strength). The content of nonvolatile matter is a measure of the effective components in adhesives. In order to reduce production costs and the amount of polymer added, some enterprises have reduced the performance of products, especially the compressive shear strength, which affects the service performance of products

in view of the main quality problems found in the random inspection, the General Administration of quality supervision, inspection and Quarantine of the people's Republic of China has instructed the local quality and technical supervision departments to deal with the enterprises whose products are unqualified in the random inspection in strict accordance with the provisions of the product quality law and other relevant laws and regulations, and rectify them within a time limit.
